LOL !! I wonder how it works? Does it cleanse your sins, or is it some kind of Arabic morning-after pill?
The translation is a bit wrong. The arabic word used ('athara) is commonly used to describe .. well .. girls who have not been married before. but in the sense that they are "fair maidens". ITs rarely used in day-to-day conversations, usually in some old songs.
So yea, virginity is not really the proper translation.
