Pizza Hut's Crown Carnival Crust cheese burger pizza, (partially) explained

I am a little late on this, but I don't want you to miss the real story behind the cheese burger pizza, as broken down by The National's James Langton.

Did you know it's only sold in the UAE? And that someone flew here from the US, just to try it? As for food critic Emily Shardlow? Not a fan.

2010 brought us the Burger King pizza burger and now, courtesy of those innovative folks over at Pizza Hut, we have the Cheese Burger Pizza. When you just can't decide what to have for lunch and don't want to have to choose. With cheese!

For the record, I think this would be vastly improved if the little cheese burgers had tops on them.
